A natural result and attention to detail:
At Minars Dermatology, the doctors “soften” lines instead of “freezing” them. They pay attention to details, and make sure that you do not look “Botoxed”. For example, one of the most important aesthetic considerations on a woman’s face is the shape of her brow. If you don’t pay attention to this, you can flatten the brow with too much Botox. When done correctly, the brow maintains its natural arch, and the eyebrows can move normally.
Eyes treated “differently”:
Botox is as much of an art as it is a science. If you know the anatomy of the face, and study the patient, then you know where to inject to create interesting and pleasing effects. For example, when treating the Crow’s feet, we can add one extra injection under each eye to subtly open and round the shape of the eyes a bit.
The “Botox” Brow Lift:
Can you get a surgical result without surgery?
Probably not. But you can get a small but important eyebrow lift (a few millimeters) by injecting Botox into the correct spots.
How?
The position of your brow is partially determined by the balance between a group of muscles pulling the brow up and a group of muscles pulling the brow down. If you can relax the “down” muscles enough to tilt the balance in favor of the “up” muscles, then the position of your brow at rest, goes up.
The “follow-up” appointment:
An important element in achieving beautiful Botox results is the “follow-up” appointment. We schedule this approximately one week after your treatment, and it is especially important for first time patients. It allows us to evaluate the effect of the Botox and, if necessary, “finesse” the results. Sometimes one more injection, or a few more units of Botox changes a “good” result into an “amazing” result. Or we may do nothing but look and write some notes; once we know what you like, we can reproduce the results every time.
