most frequent neoplasms to arise within a nevus sebaceous = trichoblastoma and syringocystadenoma papilliferum (NOT basal cell carcinoma)
histology:  epidermis papillomatous hyperplasia;   dermis increased number of mature sebaceous glands
ddx:   in children, where the lesion may not be well developed, consider it part of the ddx of other cases of congenital localized alopecia i.e. aplasia cutis, congenital triangular alopecia
