| • | blood eosinophilia = a non-specific finding that is often absent |
| • | ddx: viral exanthem, scarlet fever, staph scarlatiniform eruption, toxic shock syndrome, acute GVHD, eruption of lymphocyte recovery, juvenile RA |
| • | pearl - always elicit contrast dye or blood product/transfusion history as well |
drug vs. infectious:
| • | drug – suddenly without prodrome (“drug red”) |
| • | infectious – often with prodrome |
