| • | an entity different from acne vulgaris (i.e. occurs at later age, chronic unremitting course) |
| • | back, buttocks, and chest |
| • | in addition to comedones, nodules discharging pus or mucoid material occur, as well as deep seated abscess |
| • | subcutaneous dissection with formation of multi-channeled sinus tracts is common |
