| • | some develop a connective tissue disease, but general course is benign and episodic lasting 6 to 18 months |
clinical:
| • | fixed burning urticaria (sometimes gyrate) |
| • | often leave residual purpura as they resolve |
| • | decreased complement levels; arthralgias |
| • | abdominal pain; adenopathy |
