alopecia areata
trichotillomania (monks fringe)
SLE
alopecia syphilitica (moth eaten)
female pattern hair loss
thyroid
hypothyroid - hair becomes dry, brittle, coarse and sparse
hyperthyroid - hair becomes extremely fine and sparse

 

 

 

Meds associated with hair loss:

big three coumadin, retinoids, prednisone
