a term that pathologists (and now dermatologists) sometimes use as a clinical diagnosis, but really it is just a description of a specific histology (i.e. interstitial eosinophils in the dermis)
refers to the presence of eosinophils between the collagen bundles away from vessels (though perivascular eosinophils are also present)
